123RF Review

21 September 2012 Stock Photo Agencies Last update: 9 October 2015

Details | Website

123RF is in our top 5 due to great progress they have recently made. When we started with this agency, sales were very slow, but we kept submitting the same content as to the other websites hoping sales will improve. This rewarded us in significant increase in sales during the last year.

To join 123RF you need to:

  • register as a contributor;
  • submit a valid form of ID documentation (required for payment verification);
  • upload 10 of your best images for review.

Once accepted, you can start uploading unlimited number of photos. Submitting images to 123RF is a pleasure due to a very good FTP upload system, quite short review times, reasonable acceptance rate and no categories to be selected during upload process. You receive 30% royalty for any credit sale and around $0.25 per subscription download.

123RF is a great opportunity not only for selling stock photos, but also for vector illustrators, as well as footage and audio producers. Great features for stock photo contributors include interviews with photographers, blogs, useful tutorials and 123RF On-The-Go Mobile App to let you take and upload your photos directly from your smartphone.

Our verdict:

123RF was always in our top 10, but improvement in sales during last year proved that it is a 100% recommended stock photo agency. We believe that 123RF has serious potential for stock photo authors and it is worth spending some time submitting your work there. Just visit 123RF Website and register your free account.
