In February 2016, Pond5 announced the release of their All-New website. Besides new logo, Pond5 website received completely new look and now has more interesting and advanced features for both stock media contributors and buyers.
Since 2106, Pond5 website has evolved, so in November 2019 we updated this post to reflect current changes and new pricing.
Enhanced Search and Suggestions
New search engine allows users to find stock media by choosing many criteria. Also, media similar to a selected item are displayed to help refine the search. This is the novelty in the stock footage industry. On the top of it, buyers can scroll and see their search results on one page without going to another and easily drag and drop items to their cart for purchasing. It also includes larger image and video previews with an option to download samples.
“Visually Similar” search feature is almost a standard these days. You can upload or drag & drop your image, and search engine will display all results similar to artwork uploaded. It can search for similar content in terms of composition or colour.
Pond5 Credits and Membership
Pond5 offers 4 standard Credit Packs costing from $250 to $2500, with free bonus credits up to $500!
Customers can use their credits for any media on Pond5, including 4K and HD video, music, sound effects, images, PDS files, motion graphics, and more.
For buyers who need stock media on regular basis, Pond5 have introduced two new membership plans. Monthly Membership for $199 a month and Annual Membership for $999 a year.
Each Pond5 Memberships include:
- 10 downloads per month
- Lowest prices on 4K and HD 4K video
- Monthly rollover of unused downloads

Contributors Collections and Artists Portfolios
From now on stock media contributors can drag and drop items directly into collections. It can be used by artists for streamlining their workflow, making collections public, sharing or keeping them hidden from other users.
Artists can customize and personalize their profiles by uploading header photos, writing bio or selecting and organizing their media. This will help buyers easily find and purchase what they really need.
Portfolios can also be shared on social media or by email.
